Hey there Eighteen25 readers! My name is Melissa and I blog over at the Polka Dot Chair. I look forward to the Spooktacular September series here on eighteen25 every year. There are always so many great and crazy creative ideas shared. I think this is my 4th (or maybe my 5th??) year as a guest contributor for this fun series.
We have a fun collection of "Peace, Love and _____" t-shirts at our house and I thought it would be fun to design a Halloween themed Peace & Love graphic to use on a t-shirt or a canvas bag. This is a fun and easy way to DIY your own trick or treat bag. You do need an "e" cutting machine of some sort to make this but if you don't have one, ask around maybe you can borrow one from a friend, or even better have a little "crafternoon" to make a few bags!
To make the iron on for the bag (or a t-shirt) download the FREE svg file that is on my blog here. Then load it into your cutting machine software and cut it out of iron on material. You'll need to make sure that you reverse the image. Next peel off the excess material to reveal the design. It's helpful to use a sharp instrument of some sort to peel away the intricate parts.
Follow the directions on the package to press the iron on onto your surface. Make sure it's straight before you press! You get one shot at this...
And easy peasy you've got a fun Halloween Candy Bag for Trick or Treating!
Stop by my blog and say "hello" sometime!!!
