Summer of Groupon | Bowling

It's almost July and all my kids have done so far is visited the sprinkler park once and watched an entire season of both Lab Rats and Cake Boss on Netflix. I think that means we are slacking BIG TIME in the summer fun department.

So we are changing things up, with the help of some great Groupon deals. Our calendar is now full of fun activities that will have these kiddos of mine far from the couch cushions and ready to declare this the best summer ever.

We started last week off with some... BOWLING!! My kids and I are big fans of knocking a few pins down at the bowling alley. We aren't anywhere near pro status, but we try. The cost of bowling and shoe rental can get pretty pricey though, so we were happy to find a Groupon to one of our favorite bowling spots... Wildfire Lanes.  

We've been to Wildfire Lanes several times in the past and love the fact that you don't need to hike through a casino to get to the fun. Everything there runs smoothly and if the light six pound balls get stuck, there's someone right there fixing the problem. And if you want bumpers for the little ones, you just hit the ON button and they'll pop up every time it's their turn to bowl. 

It cracks me up to watch all of the kids bowl, each with their own approach and delivery (not sure if those are official bowling terms, but I'd like to think so). Some are a bit competitive and some just think it's cool to watch the pins fall down when their ball finally gets to them.
