Meet Brock and Sara Bingham and their two beautiful children, Ethan and Elle. In May, 2012, Brock was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML), just one month after his 29th birthday.
CML is a cancer of the white blood cells. It occurs in phases and if caught early enough, drug treatment will usually stop the progression from entering the terminal phase. Brock's treatment plan consists of a very expensive drug called Tasigna. Four pills a day for the rest of his life. Sounds fairly easy, right? The price tag on this treatment plan is anything but easy. Brock's out of pocket expense for just his medication alone is $2,000 a month. Yikes!
Next on their agenda? A golf tournament, holiday candy sales, online auction of goods and services, T-shirt and bracelet sales and a family fun day/night at a local Las Vegas venue. 100% of all proceeds go directly to the family for medical costs. Brock's family has come up with their own little slogan and logo for their efforts. They're calling it, Brock On and you can read more about their cause and fundraising on their blog.
