a homemade afternoon...

this afternoon it felt good to kick off the flip flops,
put the terrible two year old down for a nap,
and dig into a project.
a.super.easy.project.

(supplies: foam, primer, spray paint, fabric, pom pom trim and a 5 gallon bucket)

let me tell you,
this project was one of my top favorite homemade projects.
and i can guarantee...there will be a lot more modified buckets to come.
(our ideas for these handy seat/storage containers are overflowing)

we will be keeping this pretty one in the back of the van.
i plan to load it with brand new coloring books,
colored pencils, a puzzle, a few toys, maybe even a small blanket.

then, we can pull it out to watch the cousin's baseball games
or steal a few things from it when we make an impromptu visit to a restaurant.
trust me....this baby will come in handy!

i love it when a project turns out better than i had hoped!
and i really love it when i'm inspired by another's project or idea.
so, it was a super good day when the people at blogfrog  told me about Home Made Simple.
it's a website full of helpful tips, recipes, organizing, crafts....
Pesto Pasta Salad with Chicken     Yarn or Ribbon Dispenser
i feel like it's my favorite magazine plastered on the computer.
to say it's a fun way to be inspired is an understatement.
